UJ Housing Options for Transfer Students
As a transfer student, we recognize you may already be familiar with college life; your transition to the University of Jamestown presents an opportunity to make a fresh start, create new friendships, and reach your academic and career goals. Residence Life staff members are committed to helping transfer students find their place and adjust to life at UJ.

Please note: The University of Jamestown has a resident/commuter scholarship policy. Students wishing to live off campus or opt out of the meal plan will have their total institutional scholarship package prorated. Proration calculations can be reviewed with the Office of Financial Aid. Students must submit the Campus Room and Board Scholarship Proration Application to the Dean of Engagement and Student Affairs for approval.
Residence halls at the University of Jamestown provide students with a living/learning environment that is an integral part of the total educational purpose of the university. The residence halls provide educational support services to the university by creating and maintaining a guided, group living experience for the personal, scholarship, and social improvement of the individual resident. Students with circumstances requiring additional consideration or accommodations should contact the Director of Residence Life.

Meal plan options
Meal plans are used in the recently renovated Knight Hall, which offers a wide variety of fresh food.
All plans also include Jimmie bucks, which can be used for purchases at the on-campus coffee shop, convenience store and Harold Newman Arena concessions.
In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2018-2019 academic year.

|225 meals + $125 Jimmie Bucks|
|$2,080 per semester|
|•||Block 190 Plan|
|190 meals + $225 Jimmie Bucks|
|$2,000 per semester|
|Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors are required to be on one of the above meal plans.|
Available in $25 increments, Jimmie Bucks transfer from semester to semester but not year to year.

Living off Campus?
Even if you live off campus, having a meal plan can ease some of the stress of college, so you don’t have to worry about shopping or cooking.
Jimmie Bucks are available to everyone and may be used at any of our locations 7 days a week.
