Committed to keeping our campus community safe.

The mission of UJ Public Safety is to provide a safe and secure campus environment for all members of the University community. This mission is achieved through active participation of all University members and partnerships with local law enforcement.

The department is comprised of trained individuals whose purpose is to provide a safe environment, in which students and employees may live, learn, and work.

  • Safe Walk

If you don’t want to walk across campus on your own between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., a staff member will accompany you wherever you are going. All you have to do is call Public Safety at 701-659-0032. Be prepared and program this number in your phone.

Any concern you have (regarding conduct, Title IX, etc.), may be filed anonymously through this reporting system.

University of Jamestown is committed to a policy of equitable consideration of its students and their relationships. Students are encouraged to engage in constructive and respectful dialogue regarding any situation directly with appropriate individuals involved whenever possible. We will assist you when needed with the student complaint process.

Each year, Public Safety releases its Security and Fire Safety Report, which details (among additional information):

  • Public Safety responsibilities
  • Crime Statistics
  • Emergency Response Procedures
  • Alcohol and Drug Policies
  • VAWA and ND Statutes
  • Student conduct Code
  • Fire Safety
  • Important Phone Numbers
