Transparency is important, especially when it comes to the cost of college and grad school. Below, we break down the tuition, fees, and associated costs to attend UJ.

Please keep in mind, this breakdown of costs is before any financial aid is applied. We give out $10 million a year in scholarships. Plus, 100% of our full-time undergraduate students and 50% of our graduate students receive some type of financial aid.

  • Athletes will be charged a $280 athletic insurance fee in the fall semester, and it will be added to their COA.
  • Books/Course Materials/Supplies/Equipment, Transportation, and Miscellaneous budget items are average amounts based on student surveys every two years. Most recent survey was completed 10/28/2025.
  • On campus and off campus will have the same housing/food as survey results showed similar amounts spent for living off campus. Off campus with parents will have the food budget item and no housing budget item.
  • The average housing and meal plan amounts are used for the COA.
  • Dependent care costs will be included with submission of appeal form.
  • Fall and spring per credit charge is $435 when taking 1-11 credits. Summer per credit charge is $375.
  • Transportation, miscellaneous, housing, and food budget items will not be adjusted if student is not full-time, except miscellaneous will be removed from the term when a student is LTHT.
  • Direct Loan fees are included in the COA for those who have subsidized, unsubsidized or additional unsubsidized direct loans in the amount of $34/semester. Based on 25-26 averages. PLUS Loan fees are included for those who have Grad PLUS and PLUS direct loans in the amount of $282/semester. Based on 25-26 averages.

Undergraduate Costs: International Students

University of Jamestown charges international students the same tuition rate as domestic students. Please see the chart above, titled Undergraduate Costs (before aid and awards), for a breakdown of costs.

International students are required to submit financial documents, proof of health insurance, and a pre-payment upon acceptance. Please review these requirements, which are listed in detail on the application information page.
