Performing Arts
Learn about the different performing groups at UJ and how you can get involved.
Pursue your passion for performing.
We believe the arts are for everyone. That means you don’t have to major in theatre or music to participate in the performing arts. Whether you want to be front-and-center of a performance or prefer to work behind the scenes, you’ll find an artistic outlet that’s right for you at UJ. Scholarships are available! Fill out this interest form to learn more about continuing to perform in college.
Grow as a performer and as a person.
There are numerous benefits to participating in a performing group. You’ll develop your abilities as an artist or stage technician, and you’ll grow skills that impact careers outside of the arts, including:
- Effective communication
- Collaborative working styles
- Public speaking
- Organizational abilities
- Interpersonal confidence
- Ability to handle pressure and deadlines
Let’s not forget about forming lifelong friendships! Participating in a performance group is a great way to meet new people and get involved on campus. Follow along on social media to get an inside look into what it’s like to participate in the performing arts.
