Ashley is excited to share her experience as a conductor, educator, and leader with the Jimmie community. She currently serves as the Executive Officer with the 34th Infantry Division Minnesota Army National Guard Band where she has served for thirteen years.
Her research on Marches by Women has been nationally recognized and has presented at the CBDNA National Conference, MMEA, TMEA, and with the Boulanger Initiative. Ashley was the runner up for the Three Minute Thesis Competition at the University of Oklahoma in 2025.
Originally from Rosemount, Minnesota, Ashley is finishing her DMA in Wind Conducting and Literature at the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her master’s degree in Wind Conducting at the University of Wisconsin Madison and was a band director in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
When she is not making music, Ashley loves quality time with her husband and dogs Kirby and Samus. She will happily binge watch the Great British Bake Off any day of the week.
