2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

University of Jamestown Announces 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Class and Special Award Recipients

The University of Jamestown Booster Club proudly announces the 2026 inductees into the Jimmie Athletic Hall of Fame, along with the recipients of the Rollie Greeno and Jim Clark Awards. The honorees will be recognized during the Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony as part of Homecoming festivities this fall.

The Athletic Hall of Fame honors former coaches, standout athletes, distinguished graduates, and supporters who have made significant contributions to the University of Jamestown and its athletic department. This year’s Hall of Fame class includes Kimberly (Torrey) Roth ’92, Brequan Tucker ’16, the 2014-15 Women’s Basketball Team, and the 2014 Women’s Volleyball Team.

Kimberly (Torrey) Roth ’92

Kimberly (Torrey) Roth was one of the most versatile and accomplished student-athletes in University of Jamestown track and field history. A two-time NAIA All-American in the heptathlon, Roth earned sixth-place finishes at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in both 1989 and 1990 while helping lead the Jimmies to conference and district championships throughout her collegiate career.

Roth excelled across multiple disciplines, competing in 15 different track and field events during her time at Jamestown. More than three decades after her graduation, she still ranks among the program’s all-time leaders, holding top 10 marks in the heptathlon, high jump, long jump, 100-meter hurdles, and 400-meter hurdles. She also remains among the top scorers in program history.

A 10-time conference and district champion, Roth was named the Most Valuable Athlete at both the 1989 conference and district outdoor championships and earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. Her remarkable versatility, competitive success, and lasting place in the record book have secured her legacy as one of the premier athletes in University of Jamestown history.

Brequan Tucker ’16

A two-time NAIA Third Team All-American and former North Star Athletic Association Player of the Year, Brequan Tucker finished his career averaging 20.4 points per game with 1,776 points in just three seasons, a total that still ranks second in program history.

Tucker helped lead the Jimmies to two conference championships and three consecutive winning seasons while earning first-team all-conference honors and national recognition throughout his career. He averaged at least 17.8 points per game in every season at Jamestown and produced two of the highest single-season scoring totals in program history.

Known as both a fierce competitor and exceptional teammate, Tucker left a lasting impact on the men’s basketball program through his leadership, work ethic, and consistent excellence on the court. His accomplishments place him among the most decorated student-athletes ever to wear orange and black.

2014-15 Women’s Basketball Team

The 2014-15 University of Jamestown women’s basketball team earned its place among the most successful teams in program history. The Jimmies finished with a 26-7 overall record, captured the North Star Athletic Association championship, and advanced to the NAIA National Championship quarterfinals.

The team’s combination of talent, determination, and consistency helped elevate the women’s basketball program on the national stage. Their deep postseason run and conference championship season remain among the defining accomplishments in University of Jamestown women’s basketball history.

2014 Women’s Volleyball Team

The 2014 University of Jamestown women’s volleyball team helped elevate Jimmie Volleyball to the national stage and laid the foundation for one of the most successful eras in program history. The Jimmies finished 25-9 overall, went undefeated in North Star Athletic Association regular-season play, and captured both the NSAA regular-season and tournament championships.

The team became the first in program history to advance to the NAIA National Tournament Final Site Pool Play round and earned the program’s first national ranking, finishing the season No. 18 in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll. Led by NSAA Coach of the Year Jon Hegerle, the Jimmies combined competitive excellence with academic achievement, earning NAIA Scholar-Team honors while producing multiple all-conference selections and an NAIA All-American.

Beyond its accomplishments on the court, the 2014 team helped establish the culture and expectations that shaped a decade of success for Jimmie Volleyball, culminating in the program’s NAIA National Championship in 2022.

Rollie Greeno Award

The Rollie Greeno Award honors individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to education and coaching while positively impacting the lives of young people.

This year’s recipient is Tom Hager ’96.

Since becoming head baseball coach in 2000, Hager has helped shape the student-athlete experience for generations of Jimmies as a coach, mentor, educator, and leader. Over more than two decades, he built one of the most successful programs in University of Jamestown history, guiding the Jimmies to multiple conference championships, national tournament appearances, and more than 800 victories.

Hager’s impact extends far beyond the baseball diamond. Through his commitment to teaching, mentorship, and student development, he has influenced countless student-athletes who have gone on to serve their communities and professions. His dedication to helping young people succeed both on and off the field exemplifies the values at the heart of the Rollie Greeno Award.

A University of Jamestown alumnus, Hager continues to embody the university’s mission through his leadership and longstanding commitment to education, coaching, and student success.

Jim Clark Award

Established in 2017 by the Jimmie Booster Club, the Jim Clark Award honors individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to serving others through their careers since leaving the University of Jamestown.

This year’s recipient is Timothy Briggeman ’01.

A 2001 graduate and former Jimmie baseball student-athlete, Briggeman has dedicated more than two decades to public service through the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. Beginning his career as a correctional officer, he has steadily advanced through the ranks and currently serves as a captain, providing leadership, mentorship, and support to fellow deputies while serving the citizens of Cass County.

Throughout his career, Briggeman has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to excellence, including graduating from the FBI National Academy and receiving both the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Supervisor of the Year Award and the FBI National Academy’s Motivation and Inspirational Award.

Known for his integrity, humility, and commitment to helping others, Briggeman exemplifies the values of servant leadership and continues to reflect the character-centered mission of the University of Jamestown through his service to his community and profession.

The Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held Friday, Oct. 9, at Harold Newman Arena as part of the University of Jamestown’s Homecoming celebration. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include a social, dinner, and induction ceremony.
