| Thursday, August 20, 2026 | |
| 9am-1pm | *Drive-Through Check-Ins* – UJ Main Entrance MANDATORY for students who live on campus. Located on the west side of campus along 5th Ave NE. This is your welcome to the University of Jamestown! Get important Welcome Weekend information, check in to your residence hall, get your mailbox key, and more!NOTE: Commuter students (students who live off campus) and early arrival students should not go through this process. Instead, they should pick up this information later in the afternoon. See “Walk-Up Check-Ins” below. |
| 9am-1pm | Jimmie Move-In Crew – Kroeze, Seibold, Watson and Wilson Residence Halls The Jimmie Move-In Crews, comprised of our Welcome Weekend leaders and some of our UJ Athletics teams, will be stationed at our first-year residence halls to assist you with moving in. Look for the bright orange shirts! Just give them your room number and a bit of direction and they will help get your things unloaded in no time.NOTE: If you pre-ordered a loft, it will be in your residence hall room upon your arrival. Lofts are only available by pre-ordering and will not be available for purchase on site. On-site loft returns will be available. |
| 9am-1pm | Campus Partners Offices Closed Our Campus Partners (Business Office, Financial Aid, Admissions, Registrar, Informational Technology and Alumni Relations) will be out of their offices welcoming our new students to campus. Offices will open again at 1:00pm. |
| 9am-4pm | Jimmie Connection Store & Post Office Open – Lyngstad Center Visit the Jimmie Connection store for all your Jimmie clothing & apparel needs. Visit the post office to identify your mailbox, learn how to send mail to campus, and more! |
| 11:30am-1:30pm | Lunch – Hansen Center The dining center is temporarily housed in the Hansen Center while our permanent dining center is under renovation. Students: this meal is covered by your meal plan; just scan your student ID card at the start of the line. Students without a meal plan, parents, family, and friends of our students can purchase a meal pass at the check-in desk inside the dining hall. |
| 1pm-4pm | Information Table and Student IDs – Lyngstad Center Once the drive-through line has closed, stop by the information table with any questions you may have! This is also a great time to get your Student ID! Please follow the schedule below to minimize extensive wait times.
NOTE: If the corresponding time slot above does NOT work for your schedule, you are invited to attend a different window between the hours of 1:00pm and 4:00pm. |
| 1pm-4pm | *Walk-Up Check-Ins* – Lyngstad Center This is only MANDATORY for early arrival athletes AND students who do not live on campus. You will need to stop here to get important Welcome Weekend information. |
| 1pm-4pm | Explore Campus Partners Our Campus Partners (Business Office, Financial Aid, Admissions, Registrar, Informational Technology, and Alumni Relations) will be available during this time. Stop in to ask any last-minute questions you might have or to take care of any to-do list items. |

| 4pm-5pm | *Residence Hall Meetings (First-Year Students)* – Kroeze, Seibold, Watson and Wilson Residence Halls This is MANDATORY for all first-year students living in these residence halls. Come to meet your Resident Director (RD), your Resident Assistant (RA), and the other students living on your floor! |
| 5pm-6:30pm | Dinner – Hansen Center The dining center is temporarily housed in the Hansen Center while our permanent dining center is under renovation. Students: this meal is covered by your meal plan; just scan your student ID card at the start of the line. |
| 7:30pm-9:30pm | Residence Hall Activity – Kroeze, Seibold, Watson and Wilson Residence Halls Stop by ALL of these residence halls for some snacks, crafts, fun, and games. Each space will have something different, so make sure to get out and explore! |

| 10am-11am | *Welcome Weekend Kick-Off * – Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center This is the kick-off event for all students who are new to UJ. Celebrate the official beginning of your experience at UJ, hear about the Welcome Weekend schedule, and meet your UJ Foundations small group. |
| 11am-11:45am | *Small Group 1* – Various Locations Meet your UJ Foundations small group, get to know one another, ask questions, and go over the schedule for the remainder of Welcome Weekend. |
| 12pm-5pm | Lunch – Hansen Center The dining center is temporarily housed in the Hansen Center while our permanent dining center is under renovation. |
| 12pm-5pm | *Advisor Appointments* – Various Academic Buildings Review the information printed on your nametag to find out when and where your 15-minute advisor session is scheduled. Discuss your class schedule, questions, potential major, and more with your advisor! |
| 12pm-5pm | Information Table and Student IDs – Lyngstad Center Have questions? Need help navigating to your advisor’s office location? Need a student ID? Stop here and ask your questions. Our team will be happy to help! |
| 12pm-5pm | Stop and Go Activities – Allen Field In between your other afternoon appointments stop by to join us for some crafts, yard games, or just to relax and enjoy the outdoor space. Stay for a few minutes, or stay for a while. |
| 12pm-5pm | Band – Playing Interviews – Reiland Fine Arts Center If you would like to join an instrumental ensemble, then you need to meet with and play for the band director. If you have already auditioned, you may not need to play again, but you still need to meet with them. You will also be assigned an instrument locker during this time. Sign-up on the schedules posted on the band room door – Reiland 157. |
| 12pm-5pm | Choir – Singing Interviews – Reiland Fine Arts Center If you would like to join a choral ensemble, then you need to meet with and sing for the choir director. If you have already auditioned, you will still need to meet for voicing placement purposes. Sign up on the schedules posted on the choir room door – Reiland 143. |

| 7:15pm-8pm | *Getting Connected* – Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center Join us for an information session on how to view your course schedule, helpful apps to download, important Instagram accounts to follow, and some other troubleshooting tips. |
| 8pm-10pm | Party in the USA Bingo – Newman Arena Lobby Come join us for an evening of music, snacks, prizes, and of course BINGO with a patriotic theme! Play for over $500 worth of prizes and gift certificates. Double your chances to win when you come wearing red, white, AND blue! |

| 9:45am-10:45am | *Public Safety & Title IX Training* – Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center Learn about prevention and awareness programs for everyday life along with how to stay safe on and off campus. This training is mandated under the laws of Higher Education. |

| 3pm-4pm | *Guest Speaker: Sydney Montgomery* – Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center Sydney Montgomery, J.D., is the Founder and Executive Director of Barrier Breakers, a nonprofit that has supported more than 7,000 first-generation and low-income students through the college process. She is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. Sydney is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and a 2025–2026 Obama Foundation USA Leader, recognized for her national impact at the intersection of education and economic mobility. Sydney’s message is about connection, self-advocacy, and discovery. |

| 6:30pm-8pm | *LAST Small Group* – Various Locations Bring your class schedule to this group talk! Take a tour of campus with your small group and be sure you are ready to navigate campus on your first day of classes. Ask any of your last-minute questions since this is your last time together as a group. And don’t forget to pick up your surprise! |
| 8pm-11:30pm | Backyard Bash – Allen Field (Newman Lobby if inclement weather) Join us for an evening of outdoor fun welcoming you to your new backyard! This is an all-campus event where you can jam out and dance with a live DJ, play lawn games, win prizes and more! Food will be available for purchase from a variety of local food trucks. |

This short worship service is an opportunity to kick off your year on the right foot and to receive a blessing on your journey to success here at UJ. (Weekly Chapel occurs on Thursdays from 11:00-11:30am during the school year) |
