JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown will welcome three new inductees into the Alumni Hall of Fame on May 1. The induction ceremony honors alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their alma mater and humanity.

“Being chosen to the University of Jamestown Alumni Hall of Fame is the greatest achievement our institution can bestow on a former Jimmie,” said UJ Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations Brett Moser.

The honorees include Mark Ereth, MD (’80), Marlin Jensen, PhD (’80) and Todd Steinwand (’82).

Dr. Ereth, a 1980 UJ graduate of both Biology and Chemistry, is an Emeritus Professor of Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and an Emeritus Consultant at Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Marlin Jensen, a 1980 Business Administration and History-Political Science graduate of UJ, has been Associate Professor of Finance at Auburn University for the past 38 years.

Todd Steinwand, a 1982 Business Administration and History-Political Science graduate of UJ, wrapped up a 42-year career in banking by retiring as President and CEO of Bank of North Dakota (BND) in 2024, and currently serves as chairman of University of Jamestown’s board of trustees.

Kerstin (Kiki) Leuther, PhD (’88), a 2018 UJ Hall of Fame member whose induction ceremony was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, will also be formally honored. Dr. Leuther currently serves as Associate Director and Assistant Professor in University of Jamestown’s Clinical Research PhD program.

“This year’s class is a special one. It always amazes me that these stories of life-long professional excellence and extraordinary leadership got their start in our classrooms and dormitories,” Moser said. “We are thrilled to be welcoming back these inductees this spring.”

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in the foyer of the Harold Newman Arena on Friday, May 1, after a brief social beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are available for purchase for $20. For more information or to RSVP, individuals should contact UJ Alumni Director Morgan Palmer at morgan.palmer@uj.edu or (701) 252-3467, ext. 5456.
