University of Jamestown announced that it is launching a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program under its online division UJ Accelerated.

The MBA, led by program director Dr. Michael Brizek, is one of the only all-online MBA programs in the country to include specialized micro-credentials. According to UJ Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Paul Olson, these micro-credentials offer flexibility, focus, and market alignment.

“I like the curriculum that Dr. Brizek and the faculty have developed because it has all the essential elements of an excellent MBA program and has the added bonus of micro-credentials that allow students to specialize in the areas that best meet their professional goals and needs,” said Dr. Olson.

University of Jamestown’s new MBA Program’s first classes will begin this fall.

In addition to completing core courses, students in the program select two of eight micro-credentials to tailor and complete their degree. Available micro-credentials include business analytics, organizational leadership, supply chain and operations management, healthcare management, digital marketing, financial development, sports management, and agribusiness.

The MBA, which will have its first students start the fall semester of 2024, is UJ’s fifth master’s degree program.

“In 2018, our trustees approved a strategic plan that has led to exciting growth in enrollment, expansion of our facilities, and the introduction of several new programs,” said University President Dr. Polly Peterson. “We are so excited to announce this latest new graduate program that will provide our current students the opportunity to continue their education at the master’s level, while also serving a more global population of adult learners.”

Dr. Brizek will be on the University of Jamestown campus to present Q-and-A style sessions about the MBA program. Sessions, which are open to the public, will be held in the Westminster Room in the Badal Nafus Center on:

  • Jan. 17, Noon–1:30 p.m.
