UJ Faculty Featured at International University Book Fair
Earlier this month, two of our UJ professors took part in the 39th University Book Fair at the University of Hidalgo, a nine-day event which attracts tens of thousands of attendees. Dr. Marc James Carpenter and Dr. Jonathan Lyonhart were able to speak about their new books to packed houses, with the help of a live Spanish translator.
All of this was possible because of the continuing relationship with faculty at the University of Hidalgo fostered by UJ professor Dr. Ernesto Fundora. Our connections with the University of Hidalgo have long been valuable in providing practical experience to our advanced students studying Spanish. This new opportunity is another benefit from these relationships. As UJ builds its national and international profile, it is exciting to see the scholarship we create find new audiences across the world.
And in North Dakota, community members can come and meet both authors in person at the North Dakota Book at Arts Festival on September 26 at the Harold Newman Arena in Jamestown.
