JAMESTOWN, North Dakota — The Jimmie Scramble returned to the Jamestown Country Club for its 39th year on the links. Between this tournament, and the inaugural Jimmie Scramble 2.0 played in Arizona this past January, golfers raised more than $71,000 for University of Jamestown student-athlete scholarships.

“The Scramble is hot commodity,” said Tara Kapp, the director the Jimmie Booster Club. “Not only has it solidified itself as one of our largest UJ events, the weekend continues to be its own homecoming of sorts and sells out faster each year.  We have more alumni and friends of UJ that want to support the Scramble than we have availability.”

The Shootout event featured 54 teams with 108 golfers and the Scramble included 71 teams with 284 total golfers between the morning and afternoon sessions. Jimmies from Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota and Texas played in the tournament.

Winning teams are as follows:

Net Division

  • First Place: Nora Duren, Brady Hoggarth, Sierra Hoggarth, and Ashton Johson
  • Second Place: Justin Cross, Tony Erickson, Brook Maier, and Matt McPherson
  • Third Place: Jason Bivens, CJ Hager, Kira Hager, and Jason Vogel

Gross Division

  • First Place: Scott Aune, Mark Domek, Len Orr, and Kevin Widmer
  • Second Place: Riley Akervik, Hunter Braunberger, Nathan Kapaun, and Brandon Stahlhut
  • Third Place: Nolan Frank, Trent Hagenson, Nathan Kapaun, and Brandon Stahlhut

Kapp said 2026 will be the Jimmie Scramble’s 40th year and special plans will be announced as a part of the Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony this October during Homecoming festivities.

“Each year we’re humbled by the support and we love to soak up the Jimmie Pride,” Kapp said. “The stories, the memories and the shared love of UJ just lights up the Jamestown Country Club.”
