Jim Haussler(’78) has been named a recipient of the North Dakota High School Activities Association Distinguished Service Award.

1978 Earned his BA from UJ with a double major in History/Political Science and Health, Physical Education & Recreation.
1983 Served as assistant principal and athletic director at Aberdeen Central High School.
1983 Earned Masters degrees in Educational Administration and Health, Physical Education & Recreation from SDSU

1994 Earned a Doctorate in Educational Administration from UND
1996 North Dakota Athletic Director of the Year
2002 Received the Special Recognition Award from the North Dakota Coaches Association
2006 North Dakota Athletic Director of the Year
2011 Inducted into the North Dakota Track and Field Hall of Fame.
2013 Inducted into the North Dakota High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
2014 Received the Rollie Greeno Award for excellence in education from UJ.
2015 Awarded the Special Achievement Award by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association
2015 ‘James Haussler’ Gymnasium named at Legacy High School in Bismarck
2016 Inducted into the North Dakota Interscholastic Administrators Association Hall of Fame
2016 National Athletic Administrator of the Year
