Dining and Coffee Options at the University of Jamestown
Find information about our main dining hall and coffee/snack shops.
Badal Nafus Student Union
Opening in Fall 2026, the newly constructed dining hall in the renovated Badal Nafus Student Union will be the hub for students to gather, eat, and connect. With seating for nearly 500, this space is designed to foster community while offering a variety of fresh, delicious meals. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’ll find options to suit most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free.
Feeling creative? Build your own salad, yogurt parfait, or smoothie. Prefer comfort food? Stick to Midwestern favorites like pizza, burgers, fries, and specialty omelets. The dining hall’s design reflects the University’s mission of blending faith, learning, and life, with a focus on light, openness, and connection.
Hansen Center Dining Hall
Known affectionately as “The 1/2 Caf” by students, the Hansen Center Dining Hall has been the temporary dining facility since a fire in January 2025 damaged the original dining space. Despite the challenges, Sodexo and its executive chef have continued to provide fresh, high-quality meals with options for all dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free.
Here, you can still enjoy the same creative options—build your own salad, yogurt parfait, or smoothie—or indulge in campus classics like pizza, burgers, fries, and Marge’s famous specialty omelets. The Hansen Center has been a testament to the resilience and adaptability of the UJ community during this transitional period.
