The University of Jamestown is a place I’ll never take for granted. I have grown so much and accomplished more than I thought I ever could.

A bit about me

My major is Fine Arts Music with a Christian Ministry Minor. I currently work for Youth For Christ, where I’ve had a blast hanging out with middle school students. I have been involved in choir, theatre, band and Ignition over the years. My favorite experiences have been traveling with the Choir across the country, as well as attending all the activities and sporting events on campus.

A bit of advice

As we hit the halfway mark of the semester, you have probably realized that college can be a little busy, stressful and overwhelming. We all feel this way; during these times, remember you’re here for a purpose. You have a talent and a gift to offer this world.

This University is truly blessed, because we are surrounded by intelligent professors and friends who are loving and welcoming.

Take advantage of this precious time to develop relationships and learn more about yourself. My favorite Bible verse that I’ve taken to heart is “Be still and know that I am God.” In the midst of midterms, finals or life circumstances remember to be still, find a healthy stress reliever, go for a walk, listen to your favorite song, or go out for ice cream. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
