BS in Biology, University of North Dakota
She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Her research focused on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neuroinflammation and the long-term neurological consequences of viral infections. In addition to her research, she has enjoyed mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and helping them develop confidence in the laboratory and the classroom. Her scientific approach is guided by a simple philosophy: stay humble and stay curious. She believes that asking thoughtful questions and remaining open to new ideas are at the heart of both scientific discovery and meaningful learning.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors camping, fishing, and biking with her family.
