Olivia Feagles, PhD

She received her bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, conducted tropical field work with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, and was awarded her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 2024. Most recently, she spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of South Florida. Throughout these experiences, she has explored evolutionary questions through animal behavior research in a variety of animals (treefrogs, poison frogs, bats, arthropods, and insects), published eight scientific articles (with more to come), and has mentored 27 undergraduate researchers. Throughout her academic career, she has taught labs in General Ecology and Human Anatomy and Physiology, guest-lectured in Animal Behavior, Evolution, and Herpetology, designed Course Undergraduate Research Experiences, and Vertebrate Zoology.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring local nature areas and fishing with her husband and dog. She also spends time baking and reading [nonsophisticated] books with her cat. She enjoys board game nights and chatting at coffee shops
