I grew up in Prescott, AZ, attended college in Bismarck, ND, (UMary), and graduate school in Pocatello, Idaho (Idaho State). I taught middle school science for three years before getting my Masters’ in biology where I studied water movement and storage in quaking aspen and Douglas fir. I taught microbiology and anatomy at Iowa Central Community College for a year before moving to Jamestown.
