Friday, August 19th, 2022
8:00am-12:00pm (R) *Drive-Through Check-Ins* – UJ Main Entrance
Located on the west side of campus along 5th Ave NE. This is your welcome to the University of Jamestown! Pick up your welcome packet, check in to your residence hall, get your mailbox key, student ID and more!
NOTE: Commuter/Off campus students do not need to go through this process and can pick up this information later this afternoon.
8:00am-12:00pm (R) Lofts Available – Kroeze Hall Loading Dock
If you live on campus and pre-registered for a loft, your loft should be delivered to your room before move-in. If you get to your room and change your mind about wanting a loft, you can pick one up and sign your contract on-site.
8:00am-10:00am (A) Campus Partners Offices Closed
Our Campus Partners (Business Office, Financial Aid, Admissions, Registrar, Informational Technology and Alumni) will be out of their offices welcoming our new students to campus. Offices will open again at noon.
9:00am-4:00pm (A) Jimmie Connection Store & Post Office Open – Lyngstad Center
Visit the Jimmie Connection store for all of your Jimmie clothing & apparel needs. Visit the post office to identify your mailbox.
10:00am-1:00pm (A) Brunch – Knight Hall Dining Center
Knight Hall Dining Center can be found inside Badal-Nafus. Students-this meal is covered by your meal plan; just show your ID card at the start of the line. Students without a meal plan, parents, family, and friends of our students-this meal is $10.40 and can be paid for at the front desk of Knight Hall.
10:00am-5:00pm (A) Explore Campus Partners –Various Buildings
Our Campus Partners (Business Office, Financial Aid, Admissions, Registrar, Informational Technology and Alumni) will be available during this time. Stop in to ask any last-minute questions you might have or to take care of any outstanding to-do list items.
12:00pm-5:00pm (A) *Advisor Appointments* – Various Academic Buildings
Review the information printed on your nametag to find out when and where your 15-minute advisor session is scheduled. Discuss your schedule, questions, potential major, and more! This event is for students only. This is MANDATORY as part of the UJ Foundations experience.
12:00pm-5:30pm (C) *Packet Pickup and Student IDs *– Student Affairs Office, Lyngstad Center
This is required for students who live off campus or any student who did not get their packet at the Drive Thru Check In.
12:00pm-5:30pm (A) Information Table and Student IDs – Student Affairs Desk, Lyngstad Center
Once the drive-through line has closed, stop by the Student Affairs desk with any questions you may have! Also use this time to get a Student ID if you did not receive yours this morning.
4:30pm-6:00pm (A) Dinner & Farewell to Family & Friends – Knight Hall Dining Center
If you have a meal plan, just show your Student ID card at the start of the line. Students without a meal plan, parents, family, and friends of our students, this meal is $12.50 and can be paid for at the front desk of Knight Hall. This will be the farewell to family and friends as the rest of the weekend events are for students only.
6:00pm-7:00pm (A) *Welcome Weekend Kick-Off *– Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center
This is the kick-off event for all students who are new to UJ. Celebrate the official beginning of your experience here, learn the Jimmie Fight Song, hear about the Welcome Weekend schedule, and meet your small group!
7:00pm-8:30pm (A) *Small Group Talk #1* – Various Locations
Meet your small group, get to know one another, ask questions, and go over the schedule for the remainder of Welcome Weekend.
8:30pm-9:30pm (R) *Meet Your Residence Hall* – Kroeze, Seibold, Watson, Wilson
If you live in Seibold, Kroeze, Watson, or Wilson hall this is a required time for you to meet with your Resident Assistant (RA) and other members that live on your floor.
8:30pm-9:30pm (C) Student Social – Student Engagement Center, Lyngstad Center
If you live in a residence hall other than those listed above or if you live off campus, then we invite you to join us for a student social. Refreshments will be provided.
9:30pm-11:00pm (A) Nighttime Activity – Kroeze, Seibold, Watson, Wilson
Stop by the lounges in, Kroeze, Seibold, Watson and Wilson residence halls for some snacks, crafts, fun, and games. Each lounge will have something different, so make sure to get out and explore!

These placement interviews are only required for students participating in band. Sign-up on the schedules posted on the band doors.
11:00am-4:00pm (A) Choir Auditions-Reiland Fine Arts Center
Everyone is welcome to audition to join choir. Sign up for an audition time on the schedule posted on the choir doors.
12:00pm-1:00pm (A) *Small Group Talk #2* – Various Locations
Spend some time asking questions and getting to know other people in your small group!
1:00pm-2:30pm (A) *Public Safety & Title IX Training* – Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center
Please bring your student ID as attendance is mandatory. Learn about prevention and awareness programs for everyday life along with how to stay safe on and off campus.
5:00pm-5:15pm (A) Small Group Meet Up – Various Locations
Still not quite sure you want to navigate the dining center on your own? Check-in with your small group leaders before dinner and eat together!
5:00pm-6:30pm (A) Dinner – Knight Hall Dining Center

8:00pm-12:00am (A) Backyard Bash – Allen Field (Hansen Center if inclement weather)
Join us for an evening of outdoor fun welcoming you into your new backyard! Listen to the live band 2 Weeks Notice, play lawn games, and more! Food will be available for purchase from a variety of local food trucks including: Red Mexican, J and L Concessions, Ice Shack, and Laney’s Cool Treats. Use your $5 voucher found in your nametag!

Join our Director of Campus Ministries, Kirstie Dobson, for Welcome Worship in the historic Voorhees Chapel. This short worship service is an opportunity to kick off your year on the right foot and to receive a blessing on your journey to success here at UJ.
11:30am-1:00pm (A) *Small Group Talk #3*
Please bring your class schedule to this talk! Your small group will be taking tours of campus to ensure you are ready to navigate your classes. Spend time with your group reflecting on your weekend and ask your last minute questions before class starts tomorrow.

1:00pm-2:00pm (A) *Transfer Student Overview* – Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center
Only required for Transfer Students. Learn what it means to now be a Jimmie and listen to a speedy version of where to find the people and places that will be most helpful in your time at UJ.

2:00pm-3:00pm (A) *International Student Overview* – Denault Auditorium, Reiland Fine Arts Center
Only required for International Students. Meet some of the staff on campus who will be most helpful during your time on campus, learn about the important items you must complete as an international student, and get to know some of the other international students studying on UJ’s campus.
2:30pm-4:30pm (A) Lawn Games and Treats- Allen Field
(If inclement weather, this event will be cancelled)
Join us for some relaxed time outside playing a variety of lawn games including Spike Ball, Kan Jam, Cornhole, Ladderball, and more. Treats will be served.
4:30pm-5:30pm (R) *Residence Hall Meeting*- Kroeze, Nierling, Prentice, Liechty Apts, University Apts
This meeting is required for all of our students who live on campus in Kroeze, Nierling, Prentice, Liechty Apartments or University Apartments. You will meet with your Resident Assistant (RA) and meet the other students who live on your floor.
4:30pm-6:30pm (R) Dinner – Knight Hall Dining Center
