Biography

Dr. Tara Haj is the Director of Clinical Education and Associate Professor at the University of Jamestown DPT Program in Fargo, ND.

Dr. Haj has a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (2005) from the University of North Dakota. She successfully defended her dissertation and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership in 2022.

Dr. Haj has been employed full time at the University of Jamestown since 2014 and has current physical therapy licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota. She has over nine years of clinical practice experience in the areas of adult neurologic rehabilitation, pediatrics, and hippotherapy. Her employment history includes the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan Ability Lab) in Chicago, IL, Courage Center St. Croix (now Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute) in Stillwater, MN, Sanford Heath in Fargo, ND and Beyond Boundaries Therapy Services in Fargo, ND.

Dr. Haj is a Board-certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy and was previously a Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist and a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist. Dr. Haj’s primary teaching responsibilities include neurologic rehabilitation, communication and motivational interviewing, health behavior, disability awareness, professional ethics, and leadership for physical therapists.
