Chelsea Dionisio and friend at a wrestling event

My passion for wrestling outshines any other interest I have ever had. So, it just made sense to continue this passion at the next level in college. Through this sport, I have learned many lessons, not only in wrestling, but also in life.

Why North Dakota?

When I made the decision to sign with the University of Jamestown, many of my close friends and family would ask, “Why would you go to North Dakota?” Not once have I regretted my decision.

Although wrestling is what brought me to North Dakota, it isn’t the only thing that’s kept me here. The University of Jamestown isn’t about the sights you get to see or the things you get to do; for me, it’s about the people you get to meet.

More than a number

I’ve encountered some of the funniest, kindest, and purest people in the past four years, and I’m convinced that nowhere else exists with these high of quality individuals – from the administrators to the coaches to the students…and everyone in between.

I have always felt more than just a number. Although many have come and gone in my time here, they have all positively influenced my life and built me into the person I am today.

It’s these relationships that have defined my experiences at UJ, and I also think they embody what it means to be a Jimmie – not only supporting each other, but also making sure everyone is on their way to being the best person they can be.

I don’t know how to thank UJ enough for surrounding me with so many wonderful people on this crazy journey.
