UJ Receives Charter for National Honor Society

The announcement was made by Matthew Clifford, O∆K’s national president. “We are pleased to welcome the University of Jamestown into our Society,” said Clifford. “Students will now be recognized for their leadership involvement and be eligible to participate in the Society’s national programs including scholarships, campus grants, and leadership development programs.”

Members of University of Jamestown’s charter group of approximately 30 members will include faculty members, administrators, and student leaders as founding members of the circle.

“Developing leaders is something we do very well at University of Jamestown and is a large part of who we are as an institution,” said Paul Olson, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College. “We see this most overtly through our Character in Leadership undergraduate program and our Master of Arts in Leadership program at the graduate level, but it is really something that is built in across the institution and all students get at some point. Having an active O∆K chapter on campus adds to our leadership options and helps our students in numerous ways.”

With the Jamestown Journey to Success, emphasis is placed not only on preparing students academically in their chosen areas of study, but also on preparing them through a student-centered experience. For more information, please contact Liz Hunt at 701-252-3467 ext 5598, lhunt@uj.edu.
