SIR JIMMIE BLOG
More than Omelets – Marge

The most omelets I’ve made in one day was 123.

I’ve worked in most areas of the cafeteria and learned a lot – truly enjoying most days. I like making fried eggs and omelets for students. I challenge myself to remember who’s who, as well as their order. I do forget sometimes, but not often.

When you come by, watch out for my teasing nature! Some days I like to check who’s awake and focused.

UJ through the years

I’ve been going to a lot of activities through the years and have really enjoyed it. Activities are a great way to get to know lot of students more closely. And I really like talking with them – especially since there are so many students from all areas and different countries with a lot of nationalities.

I also got to know a lot of staff and professors through the years. We’ve lost some good ones and I miss them, but I know I need to be open-minded and take every day as a learning opportunity.

A favorite memory

I was asked to get involved with the softball teams by going along to Arizona to cook for the team. It lasted for four years and was an experience that I’ll always cherish.

My motto:

Lend a helping hand, an ear for listening when needed, and always keep an open mind.

Dealing with change

I’ve seen a lot of changes through the years – some are good and some have been difficult. Some days are hard…but life is full of challenges. I’ve learned from each challenge, and I think that’s accomplishing a lot. As long as I start with a smile, the days are easier.

Come see me in the cafeteria – I will try to satisfy your taste buds!
