Larry Woiwode, a native North Dakotan, is the author of five novels, including Beyond The Bedroom Wall, finalist for the National Book Award. Of his several books, six have been selected as “notable book of the year” by the New York Times Book Review. His work has appeared in the Atlantic, GQ, Harpers, The New Yorker, Paris Review, etc., and is included in four volumes of Best American Short Stories. He has published two memoirs, two collections of essays, a biography, a children’s book, a poetry collection, and two volumes of short stories. He is Poet Laureate of North Dakota and Writer in Residence at University of Jamestown. He teaches creative writing and literature courses.
