International Cost Statement
Undergraduate Costs – 2020-2021
|Approximate cost of books per year = $1,300|
According to U.S. law, international students are required to submit financial documents proving ability to pay for one year of study before the institution can send the student visa immigration documents. To meet this U.S. government requirement, most students submit a bank statement, certificate of deposit, scholarship award letter, or a combination of those three. You must be able to demonstrate on a bank statement that you can meet these expenses or the University will not be able to release the DHS Form I-20 for an F-1 Student Visa.
Scholarships awarded to international students are based on academic merit. International students are eligible for academic scholarships valued from $6,000 to $10,000 annually (renewable). Please visit our scholarship page for more information.
University of Jamestown also requires all international students to have health insurance; this can be purchased in the United States for about $100/month.
International Student Balance Reduction Payment
Prior to arriving at the University of Jamestown international students are required to make a prepayment of 25% of their first semesters balance. This payment is refundable if the student does not attend the university.
