The program’s online delivery method is designed to meet the needs of working professionals, which means you can complete your degree from wherever you are with a one-week, in-person residency on UJ’s Jamestown campus during the first summer of the program.

About The Program
Through the Master of Science in Clinical Counseling program at University of Jamestown, you’ll be prepared to become a Licensed Professional Counselor as you learn from seasoned educators and active practitioners. With no pre-testing requirements, you can get started right away. And with 24/7 access to our online classrooms, you can complete your coursework when it’s most convenient for you.
The MCC program offers students individualized attention and advising from faculty who are leaders in their field, as well as opportunities to form supportive, personal relationships with classmates in your cohort. You’ll become knowledgeable in principles and practices of diagnosis, treatment, referral and prevention while receiving focused clinical education and experiential training with a case-oriented learning approach.

Career Preparation
Our Master of Science in Clinical Counseling program prepares students to work in a variety of environments such as community mental health centers, hospitals, university counseling centers, private practice, correctional centers and more.
Practicum and Internship:
During the second year of the program, students complete practicum and internship field experiences, to be determined between the student and the program’s clinical coordinator. These hands-on experiences give students the opportunity to discover or confirm the types of counseling that most suit them and then begin conducting actual therapy with the benefit of support and supervision.
