Here at the UJ Writing Center, we also firmly believe that writing is a process, from considering what needs to be written, who will be reading it, and how it can best be accomplished. This always includes self-reflection, research, drafting, and revising. Our writing consultants are experienced in navigating this often tricky process, and we are here to help. We work with you, whether you are a student, faculty, or staff, on any piece of writing you would like to work on, whether it’s personal, educational, or professional.

Our writing consultants provide 45 minute, individual sessions where we listen to, support, and engage with your writing needs. We believe that this intensive, one-on-one, collaborative approach is the best way to encourage and nourish the life-long process of learning how to write.

Faculty Resources:

We are happy to work with UJ faculty. We can meet with any individual faculty member to discuss who we are and what we do, as well as to find ways we can best meet your needs. In addition, we will come to your classrooms and provide a short, 10 minute explanation of our services to your students. To schedule a classroom visit or a one-on-one meeting please email the Writing Center Director at sflory@uj.edu.

We look forward to an excellent year with all our fellow Jimmies!
