Mission Statement:

To aid in the mission of the University of Jamestown, Student Success Center seeks to create a purposeful, learner-centered environment that supports students’ academic development.

Goals:

At the University of Jamestown, The Student Success Center includes advising, tutor services, and disability services. To support University of Jamestown’s dedication to the development of wholeness in our students, academic excellence, and growth of the individual, we are committed to meeting the following goals:

  1. Provide accurate information regarding educational opportunities, requirements, policies and procedures to students and advisors.
  2. Identify and coordinate reasonable accommodations for qualified students with disabilities to ensure their access to the university curriculum.
  3. Support and educate faculty and staff regarding (a) the legal and moral issues of accommodating students with disabilities and (b) the implementation of reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.
  4. Provide qualified and effective peer tutors.
