Position Summary

The Department of Business, Accounting, and Economics at University of Jamestown invites applications for two full-time positions in Accounting beginning in August 2019. We are looking for candidates that are student-oriented and who have a passion for teaching.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities include on-campus teaching of various accounting courses, depending on departmental needs and faculty interest and expertise. Courses include, but are not limited to: Principles of Accounting, Income Tax Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Cost/Managerial Accounting, Government/Not-for-Profit Accounting, Auditing, Business Law, and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. The successful candidate will typically teach 12 credit hours per semester, be an advisor for undergraduate students, serve on a University committee, and conduct scholarly activity.


Minimum: A master’s in accounting or MBA degree required; doctorate preferred. Applicants with an MBA must hold the CPA credential. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience or significant professional experience in public accounting.
