Our students are led by seasoned educators and active practitioners, offering students focused clinical education and experiential training with a case-oriented learning approach. Graduates are knowledgeable in principles and practices of diagnosis, treatment, referral, and prevention. You will receive the mentoring and instruction to aid you in success. Throughout the program students are able to work collaboratively with faculty while developing counseling skills. Our students develop competencies in diagnosis and assessment, evidence-based counseling/psychotherapy techniques, group processes, cultural diversity, development, crisis management, marriage and family counseling, addiction and career counseling.

    The Clinical Counseling program prepares students to work in mental health settings such as:

  • mental health centers
  • hospitals
  • university counseling centers
  • substance abuse centers
  • residential treatment centers
  • private practice
