Our DPT program prepares students to be entry-level physical therapists that will be able to provide a variety of services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.

Our experienced faculty integrate education, research, and clinical practice to provide students with sound professional preparation.

Application Information

The University of Jamestown utilizes PTCAS.org for application processing.
Individuals wishing to apply to the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for admission into the Class of 2023 need to apply using the PTCAS online application. The PTCAS application is currently available on the PTCAS website at ptcas.org.

The deadline for applications is February 1, 2020 for the Class of 2023 that begins the fall of 2020.

All applicants chosen will be required to attend a face-to-face interview in the spring prior to beginning the program, at the University of Jamestown Fargo campus. All costs associated with this interview are the responsibility of the applicant.

Applications to PTCAS will include the following:

  • Official transcripts from all higher learning institutions that you have attended. When filling in the coursework section you must enter past coursework, the coursework you are currently taking, as well as coursework you will complete in the future.
  • Signed Essential Function Statement.
  • Official GRE Scores; use University of Jamestown PTCAS GRE Code 3885.
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • One from work supervisor
  • One from licensed physical therapist
  • Report of a minimum of 40 observations hours signed by a licensed physical therapist(s).
  • Personal Essay
