Types of Grants:

Federal Pell Grant eligibility is determined by the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) calculated from the information provided on the FAFSA. The amount will depend on the student’s EFC, enrollment status and percentage of lifetime eligibility used. Students are limited to 12 full time semesters (600%) of Pell grant eligibility during their lifetime.

Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) is a campus-based federal grant. Undergraduate students receiving this type of assistance must have exceptional financial need. Annual amount varies from year to year.

ND State Grant is available for ND residents and students who graduated from a ND or bordering state high school or received a GED from ND. It is based on the student’s financial need and availability of funds (file the FAFSA early for consideration). Award amount varies from year to year, students must complete the FAFSA in order to qualify.
