Financial Aid FAQ

What are the financial aid steps in the admissions process?

Once your institutional awards have been determined and you have submitted a valid current year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or we’ve received notification that you will not be filing a FAFSA, the Financial Aid Office will mail you a Financial Aid Award letter outlining your financial aid and estimated costs, along with options to cover the costs.

How do I apply for federal financial aid?

Apply for a FAFSA at fafsa.gov.

What is the UJ school code?

Our school code is 002990.

What is verification of the FAFSA?

When a student has submitted a FAFSA, the Department of Education will select some students to go through a process called verification. This requires the Financial Aid Office to verify certain data elements listed on the FAFSA before federal financial aid can be awarded.
