Safe Walk

Call 701-253-4440 to request a security escort. Security will need to know your name, departure location and time, and your destination to dispatch an officer.

Victim Referral Service

No one asks to be a victim, but if you are–our patrolmen can point you in the right direction for guidance and care. Call 701-253-4440 for confidential and discreet service. Your privacy and well-being are our primary concern.

Parking & Traffic Control

Parking and traffic ordinances on all UJ properties are enforced according to municipal traffic regulations. Both the Jamestown Police Department and the UJ Security Department are authorized to issue citations on college properties.

Be Prepared

Program the security services phone number into your cell phone (701-253-4440). If the situation arises that you need to call, it could be beneficial to have the number ready.

Director of Campus Safety
David Bratton is currently in his first year as the Director of Campus Safety. I joined the Army in 2003 and served six years in the 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, out of Fort Carson, Colorado. During that time he did two combat deployments to Iraq and eventually earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He graduated from the University of Jamestown with his degree in History and Political Science in 2014. He is also married and has two children.

Mike Brousseau is graduating from the University of Jamestown in the Spring of 2015 with a double major in Health and Fitness Administration and Physical Education with a double minor in coaching and business Administration. He is also currently the ARD for Prentice Hall and Competing in Football and Track and Field at the U of J, and plans on pursuing his Masters degree in Business administration, as well as coaching after receiving his undergraduate degree.

Silent Witness is the web-based version of the Campus Security Anonymous Tip Line. Please leave a detailed message including the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and HOW of the incident.

The UJ Office of Campus Safety occasionally offers rewards for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of offenders. Reward information will be posted on the Campus Security homepage.

For verification purposes, it is helpful if you include your name with the report.

Remember to include all pertinent details including WHO was involved, WHAT happened, WHERE did the incident take place, WHEN did the incident take place, and HOW you obtained this information.

All reports are considered strictly confidential.
