Students presenting recital

The University of Jamestown Department of Music will present a student recital featuring Sydney Johnson, Cambridge, Minn., and Nathan Kopperud, Jamestown, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 in Voorhees Chapel. The recital is free and open to the public.

Johnson, a sophomore music education major, will sing works by Franz, Wolf, Holst, Beach, Salzman, and Maltby and Shire. She has been active in choir, band, pep band, theatre, New Student Orietnation, and National Association for Music Educators. She is the daughter of Randy and Jill Johnson.

Kopperud, a sophomore vocal performance major, will sing songs by Handel, Purcell, Mozart, Elgar and Quilter. He has been active in choir and New Student Orientation. He is the son of Ross and Angie Kopperud.

Johnson and Kopperud are voice students of Dr. Richard Walentine and will be accompanied on piano by Dr. Walentine.
