Theatre season continues with ‘The Cover of Life’

University of Jamestown Theatre’s season continues Feb. 6-8 with “The Cover of Life” by R.T. Robinson. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. nightly in DeNault Auditorium.

Directed by senior Alex Smith of Kent, Wash., this comic drama set in 1943 features three war brides from rural Louisiana who will become the cover story for a national magazine.

Cast members are Devin Braaten, Haines, Alaska; Katie Carpenter, Moffit, N.D.; Sydney Johnson, Cambridge, Minn.; Beth LaPan, Cannon Falls, Minn.; Jana Lynch and Brittany McIntyre, both Jamestown; and Kristen Meland, Harvey, N.D.

“Once in a Lifetime” by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart runs April 10-12. A trio of down-and-out troupers set out for Hollywood to hit it big in the early days of talkies in this hilarious comedy. The season concludes May 1 with “An Evening Of One-Acts,” original works by the University’s playwriting class.
