Established in 1883 as Jamestown College, University of Jamestown is a private, liberal arts university granting bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, and bachelor of science in nursing degrees as well as a master’s degree in education and a Fargo, N.D.-based doctor of physical therapy.

University of Jamestown offers more than 40 areas of study. With the Journey to Success, emphasis is placed not only on preparing students academically in their chosen areas of study, but also on preparing students through an experience that is student-centered and integrates the liberal arts with sound professional programs. The Journey includes a four-year graduation guarantee and a guaranteed internship.

Location

Jamestown, a city of 17,000, is located in the scenic James River Valley in Central North Dakota.

Our beautiful campus sits on 110 wooded acres and is made up of 23 buildings which include 10 classroom buildings and six residence halls.

Average Class Size

Most classes have fewer than 30 students. The average class size is 19 students.

Raugust Library houses more than 150,000 items from books and periodicals to government documents to audio-visual materials to microforms.

Financial Aid

University of Jamestown is affordable! Nearly 100 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid. The University awards $7.25 million in institutional aid alone each year. Our aid packages are based on individual need as well as on academic merit, leadership and special talents. We encourage you to apply for both University of Jamestown and federal aid.

Effective July 31, 2013, University of Jamestown PT Program has been granted Candidate for Accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA, 22314; phone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org). Candidate for Accreditation is a pre-accreditation status of affiliation with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education that indicates that the program may matriculate students in technical/professional courses and that the program is progressing toward accreditation. Candidate for Accreditation is not an accreditation status nor does it assure eventual accreditation.
